RBI Releases Master Circular on Credit Facilities to SCs and STs

RBI has issued a consolidated Master Circular directing Scheduled Commercial Banks to step up credit delivery to SC/ST beneficiaries through Lead Bank District Credit Plans. The guidelines reiterate that banks must not insist on deposits under poverty alleviation schemes and must disburse subsidies upfront.
